6 Classic Colours That Work Well With Pale Pink

If 2025’s colour trends have you wondering what colours to wear with pale pink, then you and I are in the same boat.

One thing we can say about this year’s biggest colours is that they’re anything but predictable. This season alone, we’re seeing two very different camps emerge—on one side, rich, earthy tones like chocolate brown, deep olive and charcoal grey are making a strong case for quiet sophistication, whilst on the other, mood-boosting brights (think electric blue, fiery red, and hyper-saturated pinks) are set to bring a bold, playful energy to our wardrobes.

The result? A fresh mix of shades that feel modern, wearable and surprisingly easy to style. And right in the middle of it all, offering the best of both worlds is pale pink. And so, the question arises: what colours to wear with pale pink? The shade has emerged as a favourite for the season, seen on the spring/summer 2025 runway at Prada, where it was layered with grounding tones; and at Valentino, where it took centre stage in monochrome looks.

On the streets, fashion insiders are pairing it with creamy brown and deep navy, proving its versatility. Whether styled with neutrals for a refined look or clashed with brights for a bold statement, pale pink is the shade to watch this season.

Other designers including Miu Miu, Jil Sander and Khaite also showcased pale pink in their S/S 25 collections, each bringing a unique interpretation to the hue. Miu Miu presented layered ensembles combining pale pink with deeper tones, creating a harmonious balance, whilst Jil Sander opted for minimalist designs, highlighting the colour’s versatility by pairing it with crisp whites and subtle greys. Khaite, on the other hand, embraced sheer fabrics, offering a romantic and ethereal take on pale pink.

But the resurgence of pale pink isn’t just confined to the runway. Gen Z has adopted this shade as part of the dopamine dressing trend, using uplifting colours to boost mood and express individuality. Millennials, meanwhile, are incorporating pale pink into their wardrobes through tailored pieces and accessories, blending it seamlessly with both neutral and bold colours. This cross-generational appeal underscores the shade’s adaptability and timeless charm.

Incorporating any shade of pink into your wardrobe can seem a little daunting, but fret not, as I wouldn’t be doing my job right if I didn’t give you all the help you need to make the most of this trend. So, keep reading for the six colours that pair beautifully with pale pink, and I promise you won’t regret bringing it into your wardrobe.

6 Chic Colours to Wear With Pale Pink

    1. Brown

Style Notes: Brown tones create a warm and inviting palette, so adding pink into the mix just adds more sophistication, creating a perfect colour combo for those in-between seasons.

    Shop the Look:

    Reiss

Hudson Leather Trucker Jacket in Chocolate

The rich texture of leather adds depth, and the chocolate hue enhances the delicacy of pale pink pieces.

    With Nothing Underneath

The Boxer: Seersucker in Pink Stripe

Shorts season is almost (ish) here, but for now, pair with knee-high boots for warmth.

    ASOS DESIGN

Cindy Leather Pull on Boot in Brown

These versatile boots make shorts possible for in-between-weather.

    2. Grey

Style Notes: Pale grey with light pink is soft and pretty whilst timeless, making the pairing suitable for both work and play. Francesca Saffari‘s look (above) incorporates the Toteme jacket and is one I’ll be copy-and-pasting onto my spring inspo board.

    Shop the Look:

    TOTEME

    Scarf-Effect Wool-Blend Jacket

The ever-popular scarf jacket from Toteme is both stylish and comfortable, and the light grey colour adds a contemporary touch to pale pink outfits.

    Arket

    Nativa Wool Jumper in Pink

Layer this over a white T-shirt with the neckline showing for a relaxed yet put-together outfit.

    CITIZENS OF HUMANITY

Miro Mid-Rise Barrel-Leg Recycled Jeans in Light Denim

The sharp tailoring offers a sleek silhouette, whilst the light wash pairs well with pale pink.

    3. White

Style Notes: Hello, spring. Is that you? If you want to manifest better weather, this is the way to do it. As much as I love cosy cashmere knits in winter, pale pink against white on delicate cotton pieces like in Layla Abbey‘s look above exudes Hot Girl Summer. Although it may be too chilly right now in the UK to have our arms out, add this look to your Saved folder to revisit in a few months’ time.

    Shop the Look:

    Sweet Nothings Blouse

    Free People

    Sweet Nothings Blouse in Ivory

Breathable and classic, this delicate blouse pairs effortlessly with soft pink skirts or trousers for a pretty look.

    Sézane

Wear to a wedding or to work—this pink suit is surprisingly versatile.

    Arket

    Lacquered Leather Ballet Flats

Cute and comfortable, these flats are ideal for a sunny day out.

    4. Black

Style Notes: It’s giving Audrey Hepburn and Charlotte York. Black creates a striking and sophisticated contrast when put next to sugary pink. Opt for tights and slingbacks in winter and sandals for summer.

    Shop the Look:

    & Other Stories

    Sleeveless Mini Dress

This is such a spring-coded dress. The simple silhouette also makes it super versatile.

    WARDROBE.NYC

Black tights under a pink dress provide an edgy base that makes both pieces stand out. Add pointed-toe heels for a polished finish.

    AQUAZZURA

French Flirt 35 Patent-Leather Mary Jane Pumps in Black

A timeless footwear choice, these heeled Mary Janes add structure to a pale pink outfit.

    5. Pink

Style Notes: For those who love bold, fashion-forward styling, pairing different shades of pink together creates a fun and dynamic monochrome moment. This Y2K-inspired combination has been embraced by designers including Valentino and Chanel, proving that pink-on-pink is far from tacky.

    Shop the Look:

    M&S Collection

Feather & Down Quilted Packaway Puffer Jacket in Pink Shell

A light pink puffer jacket is a perfect early-spring layer.

    Nike

Dunk Low Trainers in White and Rose Whisper

Bring a playful element with these pale-pink-and-white Nike Dunks.

    6. Green

Style Notes: Combining delicate pink with mossy shades of green creates a fresh and balanced look. This pairing reflects natural elements, offering a serene yet vibrant aesthetic.

    Shop the Look:

    & Other Stories

Wool Blend Oversized Midi Length Coat with Asymmetric Button Detail

The midi length makes this oversized coat look expensive, and the powder-pink hue will complement more outfits than you’d expect.

    H&M

    Zip-Through Hoodie in Khaki Green

Layer this under the pink coat for an edgy yet soft ensemble. The boxy design adds structure to the softness of the pink.
