90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days alum, David Murphey sadly passed away at the tender age of 66. His family broke the news via social media though the photo they used looked nothing like the man fans came to know. So, what happened and how did he pass? Keep reading for further details.
90 Day Fiance David Murphey Dead At 66
When viewers first met David Murphey in Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, he was an interesting character. He rode around on a unicycle and was in love with his Unikranian mate, Lana. David knew that was his perfect match and never once thought that she could be scamming him. At sixty, he had traveled to Ukraine several times in an attempt to meet Lana but it never happened. She was in her twenties and never saw David. It looked like he was getting scammed so he hired a PI to learn more about her.
She was on several dating sites so fans fully expected Lana not to show up when David last asked but she did and they ended up getting engaged. He bought an RV to fulfill her alleged dreams of traveling with him and his plethora of cats but that never happened:
“She thought that, ‘Well, now that we’re engaged, now you can help me do the things that you promised,’ like, get her some English lessons, actually move her into an apartment. But part of my conditions for doing that was to get her off the [dating] website and she didn’t get off the websites, so I didn’t offer any of those bonuses, so four months into our engagement, we just stopped communicating.”
Lana had claimed she struggled to text David due to her long nails. However, it did come out that he had a history of spending excessive amounts of money traveling for women. It was upward of $300K so it seemed it was no object. His goal was to retire in a luxury motorcoach. Sadly, on Wednesday, December 18th, it came out that the 90 Day Fiance alum had died:
David Murphey passed on December 11th after dealing with health problems for the last several years. He was survived by his sisters and his cat.
