“There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets inâ€â€¦.Leonard Cohen
“Even the darkest night will end and the sun will riseâ€â€¦.Victor Hugo
Our Nation….no our world… is shrouded amidst a dark cloud, bringing forth a hurricane that destroys peace as we navigate through the shadows of uncertainties that mask our path. However, while adversity often heralds the cleansing rain of resilience and strength, a brilliant music anthem often encourages people in difficult times as an essential part of the journey.
“A Thanksgiving Prayer beautifully written and composed by the multi-award winning maestro Randy Edelman is being played by KISS FM and  iHeart radio station on Thanksgiving Day and Thanksgiving weekend in hopes that the song will have an impact on mankind. The song follows Randy’s global anthem “Everything Is Possible†which is also about the fact that when expecting to reach for the stars, people might also encounter a storm.
Randy Edelman is widely acclaimed for composing over 100 of the most breathtaking motion picture and television soundtracks the world has ever heard including “Last of the Mohicansâ€, “The Bruce Lee Storyâ€, and “Gettysburg†whose theme has recently been used by NASA in their documentary “Dare Mighty Things.†He created the theme for the hit series “MacGyver†as well as music for ESPN and  the “Olympics.†His songs have also been covered by Barry Manilow (A Weekend in New England), Patti LaBelle (Isn’t it A Shame), Nelly (My Place) and many others.
“A Thanksgiving Prayer†is given as a gift to mankind in a time when it is so desperately needed. Monsters come in all sizes, war, poverty, hunger…..and uncertainty. Over the decades music has constantly had a significant cultural and political impact on real-world events and has provided the power for positive change and unity during historic moments…..this is one such song.
