Here’s a look at this week’s biggest premieres, parties and openings in Los Angeles and New York, including events for The Fall Guy, The Idea of You and Unfrosted.

AFI Life Achievement Award

The American Film Institute presented the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award to Nicole Kidman on Saturday in Hollywood, with Meryl Streep, Reese Witherspoon, Morgan Freeman, Naomi Watts, Zoe Saldaña, Aaron Sorkin, Zac Efron, Miles Teller, Joey King, Mike Myers and Kidman’s husband Keith Urban all on hand to honor the star.

The Idea of You premiere

Anne Hathaway, Nicholas Galitzine, Reid Scott and Ella Rubin joined producer Gabrielle Union and director Michael Showalter at the New York premiere of their Prime Video rom-com on Monday.

The Fall Guy premiere

Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Hannah Waddingham and Winston Duke took part in the action-packed Los Angeles premiere of their film The Fall Guy, where Gosling also pulled off a surprise Beavis and Butthead quick-change alongside Saturday Night Live‘s Mikey Day.

Unfrosted premiere

Writer, director and star Jerry Seinfeld joined castmembers Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Max Greenfield, Christian Slater, Sarah Cooper, Peter Dinklage and Bill Burr at the L.A. premiere of his Pop-Tart comedy on Tuesday, where Larry David and Jay Leno were also in attendance.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes premiere

Stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, William H. Macy, Travis Jeffery, Lydia Peckham, Eka Darville, Neil Sandilands and Ras-Samuel walked the carpet alongside director Wes Ball at the L.A. premiere of the latest Planet of the Apes movie on Thursday.

Turtles All the Way Down screening

Director Hannah Marks debuted her upcoming Max film at an advanced screening at the London Hotel West Hollywood on Saturday, alongside executive producer John Green and castmembers Isabela Merced, Felix Mallard, Cree and Maliq Johnson. Kirsten Dunst and Lili Reinhart were also in attendance.

Homeboy Industries Lo Maximo Awards

Homeboy Industries hosted its 22nd annual Lo Máximo Gala on Saturday, celebrating those who have transformed their lives through the gang rehabilitation and re-entry program. The night was hosted by Jane Fonda and recognized Kim Kardashian for her commitment to criminal justice reform.

The Fall Guy Stuntacular

Ryan Gosling and The Fall Guy director David Leitch made a special appearance at Universal Studios Hollywood on Saturday to introduce the theme park’s new “The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show,” which is part of the popular “WaterWorld” attraction.
