Suni Lee‘s 2024 Olympic campaign is off to a hot start, as the reigning All-Around Gymnastics champ helped Team USA to a gold medal in the team competition on Monday. But the U.S. gymnast is also making moves off the mat, as the new face of LoveShackFancy’s “Americana” collection.
The Cotton x LoveShackFancy Americana Collection pairs the clothing brand’s feminine-chic aesthetic with Cotton Incorporated’s versatile fabric, to create a ready-to-wear capsule that’s as comfortable as it is stylish. Taking cues from summer vacation and Americana (think gingham dresses, bandana prints, and crochet tops and bottoms), LoveShackFancy says the collection “embodies a re-invented sense of modernity, femininity, softness, and confidence.”
Lee was the perfect ambassador for the campaign, the brand explains, citing her “balance of confidence, femininity, and empowerment” and the way she “embraces the chance to express her true self.” The Olympic champ appears in a series of photos showing off the new LoveShackFancy pieces, which the brand says are “relaxed, feminine, and playful, reflecting her genuine and personal style.”
And while this isn’t exactly the type of workout gear Lee would wear to competitions, Cotton Incorporated says “Lee’s gymnastics prowess, marked by her adaptability and mastery of multiple disciplines, parallels the versatility of cotton.” Talk about sticking the landing for a brand fit.
“I was so excited when LoveShackFancy and Cotton asked me to be a part of their Americana campaign,” Lee says, in a press release. “I love the fun and girly designs and the use of cotton fabrics allows me to stay comfortable on and off the mat. The styles and colors of this collection are perfect for summer celebrations.”
The capsule collection features LoveShackFancy’s best-selling heritage styles with a limited-edition, hand-painted star print, crochet sets, bow-adorned gingham dresses, cherry-embossed pieces and more. Lee’s Paris campaign isn’t done just yet: the pride of Saint Paul, Minnesota has also qualified for the women’s all-around final and the apparatus finals, taking place this week.
