Noel Gallagher has given his first impromptu “interview” since Oasis reunited earlier this week – see what he had to say below.
The Britpop band announced a huge run of comeback gigs on Tuesday (August 27), dubbed Oasis Live ’25. Set to take place next summer, the trek will see brothers Liam and Noel perform on stage together for the first time since 2009.
On Wednesday (August 28), while seemingly out shopping at the Stone Island shop in London, Noel was approached for a chat by a man named Steve Sheward and his four children – he wholesomely explains to his kids that Noel is in his “legendary band”.
During a chat – a portion of which was recorded and shared on X/Twitter – one of Shewards’ kids asked Noel why he fell out with Liam in the first place. Noel jokingly replied: “Why’d I fall out with him? ‘Cause he stole my teddy bear.” Noel continued: “Not lying. He stole it in 1978.”
Other clips and photos of the encounter see Noel and the family in a group photo, and videos of them walking on the streets together. Sheward wrote on X: “Bumped into Noel Gallagher yesterday in the Stone Island shop in London, boyhood dream to walking into a pub for a beer with Noel & Liam, trumped that with my children making memories and just hope I can get tickets next year. A true gentleman [and] scholar.”

Since Oasis’ return was confirmed on Tuesday, extra gigs have been announced due to “unprecedented demand”. So far, Liam and Noel are the only members confirmed for the reunion tour, though there have been talks about which previous Oasis members could be joining them on the road, with co-founder Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs reportedly on board.
Previous reports claimed that “no other original Oasis member is expected to join the reunion”, and that “the members of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will step in”.
All of the band’s UK and Ireland shows have since had ticketing prices confirmed – you can see a breakdown of ticket costs here.
Tickets for Oasis’ 2025 UK and Ireland tour go on general sale at 9am BST/8am IST this Saturday (August 31) – you’ll be able to buy yours here (UK), and here (Ireland).
Ticketmaster has outlined its strict rules for purchasing tickets – confirming that customers will only be able to order four tickets per household and card. Additionally, Oasis have partnered with resale platform Twickets where fans can buy unwanted tickets for no more than face value (plus booking fees).
Fans have also been revisiting the group’s final setlist from 2009 to get an idea of what they might play next year. See NME’s dream setlist for the forthcoming massive gigs here.
In other news, Oasis have ruled out a headline performance at Glastonbury 2025 and will not be appearing at “any other festivals next year”.
In a brief joint statement to announce their long-awaited return, Oasis said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
