After a slew of successful collabs, star-loved duo Loewe and On continue their stylish winning streak with new colorways for their best-selling lightweight running shoe.
Redesigned with new materials earlier this year, the Cloudtilt 2.0 sneakers ($490) now come in cherry (women’s sizes only), dark sand and orange alongside core hues such as black, white, sand, lime green and khaki (also expanded to women’s). The kicks feature On’s proprietary CloudTec Phase midsole made of “high-rebound, ultra-light foam,” a layered upper of technical mesh and recycled woven materials, rubber toe guards and more padding on the shoe collar and tongue. They’re finished with a branded heel loop with the signature silver logo.
The expanded color lineup joins the existing Loewe x On capsule ($65 to $2,150) released this spring and comes after the Swiss athleticwear brand tapped musician FKA Twigs as a creative collaborator and Zendaya as its latest celebrity face. The Challengers star sported tennis-inspired looks by both brands during the romance film‘s whirlwind press tour. (The movie also marked Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson’s first stint as a costume designer.)
First released in May, the fifth Loewe x On collection comprises women’s and men’s activewear, footwear and accessories, including the upgraded Cloudtilt 2.0 sneaker recently seen on Emily Ratajkowski. The collab features all-weather performance apparel made from a recycled technical jersey that’s lightweight and water-repellent, while outerwear is crafted from ripstop fabric and features reflective accents. Other clothing pieces include workout tanks, T-shirts, training and bicycle shorts, track pants, oversized fleece hoodies and sweatshirts, insulated puffers and vests, and water- and windproof parkas and jackets. There are also accessories such as caps, neck gaiters, arm sleeves, briefs and socks to complete the look.
The collection comes in vibrant shades such as orange, pink, blue and neon yellow alongside neutrals such as white, gray, black and a new “Storm” blue tie-dye print. Of course, every piece is emblazoned with the two brands’ joint logo, a combination of the Spanish luxury house’s anagram and the activewear brand’s minimalist motif.
Loewe and the Swiss performance brand tapped a team of superstar athletes from around the world to showcase the spring/summer collection across the California desert landscapes of Indian Canyon, Simi Valley and Palm Springs. Shot by photographer Ryan McGinley on film and Polaroid, the campaign stars tennis player Ben Shelton and runner Aaliyah Miller, both hailing from the U.S.; Japanese Olympic runner Masato Yokata; German sprinter and bobsledder Alexandra Burghardt; Spanish runner Mario Garcia Romo and Ethiopian-Italian runner Sintayehu Vissa.
The collection comes after Loewe dressed a slew of stars at the Met Gala, including Ariana Grande, Ayo Edebiri, Greta Lee, Challengers director Luca Guadagnino and stars Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Jamie Dornan, Jonathan Bailey, Ambika Mod and Dan Levey. (Anderson was among the fashionable fundraiser’s honorary chairs.)
The collab’s latest shoes and more are now available online and in stores and at select designer retailers and pop-ups around the world. See more from the collection below, and shop in stores and online at Loewe, On and MyTheresa.
