Morrissey fans have reacted angrily to the ticket prices for his forthcoming UK and Ireland tour.
After teasing fans of big news, the former Smiths frontman turned solo icon took to social media to announce his latest live dates earlier this week which will see him head over to Dublin on May 31 for a gig at the the 3Arena. From there, he will play two nights at the O2 Academy in Glasgow on June 4 and 5 respectively before wrapping up with a homecoming show at Manchester’s Co-Op Live on June 7.
Tickets for the shows went on sale at 9am this morning (February 14) with the cheapest tickets starting at £81.95 with the most expensive priced at £109.95
Many fans were unimpressed with the ticket prices with one writing: “Fuck me I aren’t spending £90 to see Morrissey while sitting In the clouds at some soulless arena. I’ve seen him twice at a fraction of that cost in more intimate settings. Ticket pricing is mad ridiculous though.”
Another wrote: “Tell me why morrisey tickets are THAT expensive,” while one fan wrote: “Last time I went to watch Morrissey he walked off stage two songs in . Ive succumb and got a ticket for Manchester later this year . Obscene pricing at the CO-OP though. £111.”

Now where in the HELL does Morrisey get off charging £82 for tickets?? The only time you were any good is when you had other people around you making you good?

Others though didn’t mention the prices and were delighted they managed to secure tickets with one writing: “Got my tickets – Glasgow and Manchester. I’m travelling 8000 miles. I feel quite emotional!”
Another added: “Tickets secured to see Mozzer in Glasgow. Almost exactly 34 years after I saw him in the same city on the Kill Uncle tour. Nothing has changed, I still love him. Only slightly more than I used to.”

The new announcement of tour dates comes a week after the ‘Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now’ singer announced plans for a North American run of live shows which are set to take place between April and May.
Those shows come following a brief stint of Los Angeles gigs to round off 2024, as well as a sold-out tour of North America in late October and November.
Following the announcement of his UK dates, Morrissey took to his official website to later confirm he will not be playing any shows in London. In a statement, the singer-songwriter wrote: “No London concert will be added to Morrissey’s upcoming run of Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester.”
Chicago quintet Brigitte Calls Me Baby will serve as opening support at the Dublin and Manchester dates. The shows will mark the only time Morriessy will perform in Ireland, Scotland and England in 2025. Any remaining tickets can be purchased here.
Elsewhere, tickets for Black Sabbath‘s final-ever live show also went on sale this morning, with many fans expressing their frustration at trying to secure tickets. Some people also criticised the high ticket prices which were priced between £197.50 and £834.
Tickets for Beyoncé‘s ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour and Kendrick Lamar and SZA‘s ‘Grand National’ 2025 stadium tour also went on sales this morning.
