Tyler, the Creator has won the inaugural Best Album Cover award at the 2026 Grammys. The Chromakopia cover art emerged ahead of competition by Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Perfume Genius’ Glory, Wet Leg’s Moisturizer, and Djo’s The Crux. Chromakopia’s art directors were Shaun Llewellyn and Luis “Panch” Perez.
The creation of the Best Album Cover award followed a shakeup in the packaging field this year. The award for the Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package—in which Jeff Mangum was a surprise 2024 nominee—has now been merged into the old Best Recording Package category. The new award “recognizes the creativity and work of the art directors—in many cases, in tandem with the artists themselves—behind some of the year’s most beautifully designed album artwork,” per an article on the Grammy website.
