Harper and Finley Lockwood, the youngest children of Lisa Marie Presley, celebrated a major milestone when they turned 18 on October 7. Their grandmother, Priscilla Presley, commemorated the occasion with an Instagram post of the teens, who have rarely been seen in public since their mother’s death in January 2023.

The birthday girls were just 14 years old when Lisa Marie died after going into cardiac arrest. The medical examiner found her official cause of death to be a “small bowel obstruction caused by scar tissue that developed after a previous bariatric surgery.”

With Harper and Finley celebrating their milestone birthday, scroll down to learn more about all of Lisa Marie’s children.

How many kids did Lisa Marie Presley have?

Lisa Marie was a mother to four children. With her first husband, Danny Keough, whom she was married to from 1988 to 1994, she welcomed daughter Riley Keough in 1989 and son Benjamin Keough in 1992. She later had Harper and Finley with her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood.

    Riley Keough

Riley began modeling in 2004, then switched her focus to acting and eventually directing. Some of her roles include The Runaways, Magic Mike, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Girlfriend Experience, The Terminal List, and Daisy Jones & the Six.

Since 2015, Riley has been married to Ben Smith-Petersen, a stuntman. They are the parents of Lisa Marie’s two grandchildren, a daughter born in August 2022 via surrogate, and a second child born in 2025.

After Lisa Marie’s death, Riley and Priscilla were embroiled in a legal battle over Lisa Marie’s estate, which includes Elvis’ Graceland. The women eventually reached a settlement, with Riley being named the sole trustee.

    Benjamin Keough

Benjamin lived life much more out of the public eye than his mother and sister. In July 2020, he died at the age of 27 (more on that below).

Prior to his death, Benjamin was a passionate musician, although he tended to keep his work private.

    Harper & Finley Lockwood

After her divorces from Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage, Lisa Marie married Michael Lockwood in 2006. She gave birth to their twins in October 2008. Lisa Marie filed for divorce from Michael in 2016, but it wasn’t finalized until 2021.

Since Lisa Marie’s death, the twins have lived out of the public eye. They graduated middle school in 2023, but keep details about their life private.

What happened to Lisa Marie Presley’s son?

Benjamin died by suicide. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that his official cause of death was a shotgun wound.

Lisa Marie was devastated by the loss of her son. “She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter, Riley,” a rep for the actress said in a statement. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

Riley later revealed that Benjamin’s passing ultimately led to her mother’s own death. “My mom tried her best to find strength for me and my younger sisters after Ben died, but we knew how much pain she was in,” she told People. “My mom physically died from the after effects of her surgery, but we all knew she died of a broken heart.”

Who raised Lisa Marie Presley’s twins?

Following Lisa Marie and Michael’s separation, they were engaged in a custody battle that began in 2017. Harper and Finley were temporarily put in Priscilla’s care after Lisa Marie’s legal team allegedly discovered “disturbing” photos of children on Michael’s computer.

The inquiry into Michael was closed later that year, with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation stating, “We have not been able to determine if a crime occurred in Tennessee and accordingly do not have an open investigation.”

When Lisa Marie died, she had 60% custody of the twins, while Michael had 40%. In April 2023, he was awarded full custody of Harper and Finley and a judge appointed him the guardian ad litem in the battle over Lisa Marie’s estate.

In his filing to become his daughters’ voice during the court proceedings, Michael explained, “The minor is a beneficiary of a trust at issue before the probate court in the above referenced case. The minor requires appointment of a guardian ad litem to represent her interests in the proceeding.” Harper and Finley both consented to their father being their official guardian.

In the settlement over Lisa Marie’s estate, it was determined that Riley will be the trustee of the sub-trusts set up for Harper and Finley.
