Low end forecasts have Sony’s Denzel Washington starring, Antoine Fuqua-directed action threequel, The Equalizer 3 at $30M+ over 4-days. Some box office sources even think the sequel, which was shot in Italy, has a shot at $40M and that’s because of The Equalizer 3‘s big first choice numbers with guys over 25. Even Women over 25 is solid. The one pause is that the nine-year-old franchise’s audience is getting older, and that demo as we all know has a gradual pace to cinemas. There are no other wide releases over Labor Day weekend, and National Cinema Day when tickets are…

Look, everyone is tired. And I get it: What I’ve learned from repeated attempts at 4 A.M. writing binges is that sleep deprivation does not nurture a creative mind, no matter how brilliant and original an idea might seem while overly caffeinated under the glow of a SAD lamp. That said, many of us creatives can sympathize when, in week 11, our Project Runway crew has hit a wall. The fissures in their composure are widening with every flick of Christian’s wrist. Tasked with creating “one runway look that showcases two styles” (in the spirit of conquering double binds, or…

The mid-morning sun kisses your bronzed skin as you idly comb the sand with your toes. A gentle, salty breeze. Crashing waves leaving meandering trails of foam in their wake. There’s plenty of room for nuance, especially considering…
