‘Bachelor Nation’ Katie Thurston Shares Huge Cancer Victory

Katie Thurston of Bachelor Nation fame has been sharing updates of her health journey since last year. Recently, however, she had big news to share. Notably, this came out as she took part in a big event.

Katie Thurston Starred In Season 17 Of The Bachelorette, After Appearing On The Bachelor

Thurston first gained fame on Season 25 of The Bachelor. While she finished in 11th place, she quickly became a fan favorite among viewers, especially as she stood up to bullying in the house.

Following this, Thurston starred in Season 17 of The Bachelorette. In 2025, she was later announced as one of the leads of FBoy Island‘s third season. She has also pursued a career in stand-up comedy.

Back in February 2025, Thurston shared that she had been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. Since then, she has been keeping fans updated about her health journey on social media.

Thurston previously shared that she began a new treatment plan and the tumors in her body have started to shrink. Recently, she also underwent a double mastectomy. Earlier this month, she also shared that she was getting a PET scan to see her current health status.

Thurston Made A Big Announcement At The Breast Cancer Research Foundation Event

Recently, Thurston made an appearance at an event for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. At the time, she shared a video online while on stage with her spouse, Jeff Arcuri. She shared, “I want to make my own contribution today before we get off stage. And I know it’s sometimes intimidating to see such generous amounts and think that maybe you won’t make a difference. But I do want to say that every dollar truly counts.”

Thurston also had big news to share with fans. She continued, “Today, I wanted to donate $610 to represent every day I’ve been alive since being diagnosed. So because of you, I am here. Thank you. But, also, because of you guys, I can announce for the first time today in public that I am currently no evidence of disease.”

Thurston concluded, “Thank you so much! I hope our story inspires you to see what a difference you can make and why we need money for research and we need change for breast health.”

In a caption to the post, Katie shared, “610 days since my diagnosis with #breastcancer. Day 1 of #noevidenceofdisease. Thank you to everyone who made a contribution to @bcrfcure , every dollar counts! #stageivneedsmore #metastaticbreastcancer.” In a later update, she shared, “Life update: No evidence of disease!” Jeff also shared, “I am so insanely proud of you,” complete with a heart emoji.
