Jack Richardson is the brilliant, mildly autistic heir to a billion-dollar fortune—and the son of a notorious international criminal who became an American hero during World War II. After his father’s death, Jack inherits a vast global empire and hires Beryl Christian, a beautiful and ambitious Smith College graduate who arrives in New York in 1968 dreaming of becoming a computer programmer—and perhaps even the first woman President. When Beryl becomes involved in managing Jack’s complicated worldwide estate, the two form an unexpected bond. As she helps Jack confront the loneliness and trauma of his past, their relationship deepens into love. But when Jack proposes marriage, Beryl faces a difficult question: Can she build a life with the man she loves without giving up her own dreams, ambitions, and independence? Set against the turbulent backdrop of 1968, this sweeping story explores love, wealth, ambition, healing, and a woman’s struggle to become her own person. If you want, I can also make this **more “viral” for YouTube**—with a stronger opening hook designed to make someone stop scrolling and click.
