Bullet For My Valentine have returned with the ferocious new single ‘Social Apocalypse’ and announced details of their first album in over five years.
Their eighth studio album, also titled ‘Social Apocalypse’, will arrive on March 19, 2027 via Spinefarm (pre-save here), following on from their self-titled seventh record from 2021. The title track is their first new song in four years.
“Everything in life is changing at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to find a great deal of positivity when you look at events in the world,” frontman Matt Tuck said of the themes behind the record.
“People are being pitted against each other. The world is full of conflict instead of unity. As a father, I look at what the world is like for younger people, and how completely different it is now.”

The album once again sees the band working with producer Carl Bown, who has been involved with four previous Bullet records.
It will also feature two guest collaborations, with Against The Current vocalist Chrissy Costanza appearing on ‘In The Absence Of You’, while Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos lends vocals to ‘I Don’t Trust Tomorrow’.

Bullet For My Valentine have also announced their biggest UK and European headline tour to date, culminating in four UK arena shows next February.
The run will see them return to The O2 in London on February 26, having previously sold out the arena alongside Trivium on their ‘Poisoned Ascendancy’ co-headline tour in 2025. This time, Bullet will be the sole headliners, with Pendulum joining as very special guests across the entire tour and Dark Divine opening.

‘Social Apocalypse’ arrives after Bullet For My Valentine cut short the later stages of their anniversary tour with Trivium last year in order to “divert our full attention towards the next chapter” of the band.
At the time, they promised fans that they were working on their “best album to date” and confirmed plans for extensive touring across 2026 and 2027.
The forthcoming LP also follows comments Tuck made to NME while discussing the band’s self-titled record in 2021. He said they had approached that album wanting “shock, awe and to show off”, adding: “We wanted to show people what this band is really capable of.”
Two years later, while discussing the ‘Poisoned Ascendancy’ shows, Tuck told NME that the next record could combine “the intensity and technicality” of their self-titled album with the feel of their 2005 debut ‘The Poison’.
“That’s going to be a pretty special record,” he said at the time.
