When Found returns this fall, it will be an entirely different ballgame, as the life Gabi created for herself after kidnapping her kidnapper falls apart.
Sir escaped at the end of the first season, and when we catch up with the story, Gabi’s secret will be revealed.
Is this the kind of thing that an individual and a business built around it can survive?
Found attempts to show that two wrongs do make a right.
If the first wrong is egregious enough, using the ear for an ear approach isn’t frowned upon. Who wasn’t cheering for Gabi every time she confronted Sir in her basement?

Of course, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, playing Sir, tosses a bit of a wrench into that cheer party. He’s an actor we love, no matter how despicable his character may be.
If you’re like me, you might have found yourself creating tenuous connections between Gabi and Sir or wondering if there was a more altruistic meaning behind why Sir kidnapped Gabi and Lacey.
Who does that? Well, Mark-Paul Gosselaar fans, for one. The dynamic between Gabi and Sir is electric, and the tension stretches our imaginations beyond credibility.
So, Gabi’s secret is out. Like her kidnapper, she’s a kidnapper. How will her team react?
We’ve seen enough from them to know that while those relationships may be taut, they’ll never break — at least not over this.
The teaser trailer NBC released doesn’t give away much, but it does show that it’s all hands on deck trying to find Sir.
How will he treat Lacey? Will she be his prisoner for long? Will she be killed? To what ends is Sir willing to go to manipulate Gabi?
The video also points out that Gabi is taking dangerous risks, and the same can be said about Found, releasing Sir into the wild so soon into its run.

Do we watch for the cases Gabi and her team solve, or do we watch because of what’s transpiring between Gabi and Sir? My bet is on the latter.
Their electricity drives the series, and Sir has so far been very involved in every case. One cannot, as we see it now, exist without the other.
Changing that dynamic one season into the series it fuels is incredibly risky.
Not only does the series dramatically shift directions, but Gabi’s lost the most valuable tool in her people-seeking arsenal. When she’s stuck on a case, picking Sir’s brain is what sets her free.
How long can the hunt for Sir continue, and what might happen if he’s, in fact, found and taken into custody?
Something similar is happening on Criminal Minds: Evolution. Although the show has had 15 seasons without the Evolution protagonist, so it’s pretty easy to imagine a future without Elias Voit.
The same cannot be said for Found, as Gabi and Sir’s connection is the reason it exists. We depend on their future, so what will it be?
With its sophomore season, everything we know so far about Found should be radically altered.
