Maria Bartiromo Previously Worked For CNN & CNBC Before Joining Fox News
Bartiromo recently became known to many through her work with Fox News. She hosted Mornings with Maria and Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street for Fox Business. She also hosted Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo for Fox News.
Prior to this, Bartiromo worked for CNN and CNBC. For the latter, she hosted Closing Bell and On the Money with Maria Bartiromo.
However, after nearly 12 years working for Fox News and Fox Business Network, Maria Bartiromo is leaving the network. According to TV Insider, Fox News Media shared in a statement, “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”
Bartiromo already had her last day with the network, which was September 3, the same day the news was announced. Her Fox Business Network morning show, Mornings With Maria, will be renamed Mornings With Fox Business. For the time being, a number of rotating guest anchors will fill in for her.
Rumors Have Come Out Over What Could Be Next For Bartiromo, Including A Career In Politics
In addition, Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street will now be called FBN’s Wall Street. Similarly, the show will now see a number of rotating guest anchors, starting with Cheryl Casone.
A similar update was also made for Bartiromo’s Sunday morning Fox News show, Sunday Morning Futures. Jason Chaffetz will fill in until a new host is announced. Fox Business Network also confirmed that viewers can expect a new weekday programming schedule to be announced, “in the coming weeks.”
For the time being, a reason for Bartiromo’s exit has not yet been confirmed. She has not appeared on either Fox News or FBN since early August. It is also unclear what is next for Bartiromo. According to Deadline, there are rumors that she could be named Donald Trump‘s new press secretary. At this time, Bartiromo has not officially worked in politics or held a government office.
Bartiromo’s last Instagram post was in late July. While initially continuing to promote her shows, this has stopped in recent weeks.
