Jack White had something special in store for the audience at his show in Nashville on October 10. During the second of two nights at new venue the Truth, he brought out his Raconteurs bandmates (Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, Patrick Keeler, the latter of whom has been playing in White’s touring band) for an encore, marking the group’s first live performance together since 2019. Watch the quartet play “Steady, As She Goes,” “Hands,” “Level,” “Broken Boy Soldier,” and “Carolina Drama” below.
Earlier in the week, White hinted the Nashville set might contain a Raconteurs reunion, encouraging fans of the band to grab tickets as “there might be a little surprise.” The Raconteurs’ last proper album, Help Us Stranger, arrived in 2019. In 2020, the group shared the EP Live at Electric Lady, which came with a documentary directed by Jim Jarmusch. This month, White’s label, Third Man Records, announced plans to put out The Raconteurs Broken Boy Soldiers XX, a 20th anniversary companion to the band’s debut album. The vinyl release will gather demos, album outtakes, and live recordings from the Raconteurs’ first concert.
