His Daughter Shares Touching Video About Dad’s Death

Emilia is James Van Der Beek’s nine-year-old daughter. A video has been shared of her talking about grief and how she is dealing with the loss of her father. In the video, she seemed very mature and seemed to be dealing with death a lot better than most people could.

“I start with a sentence and I say, ‘Hi Dad, I miss you and I love you so much, and I’ll never stop loving you,’ and I just tell him about my day, how I’m feeling, and I tell my family how I’m feeling and I know he can hear me, but I can’t hear him. You have to feel them because they’re in your heart. They’re watching over you. They’re a part of your body and in a good place”
