MDA Space, a global leader in communications satellites, Earth and space observation, space exploration and infrastructure, will utilize Jena-Optronik’s ASTRO HP star sensor on a LEO mission. This milestone underscores our ability to provide cutting-edge technology that meets the demands of international space missions.
In a market that moves fast, the ASTRO HP optical head provides the perfect balance: high performance thanks to the radiation-hard Faintstar2 detector, the very fast optics in a compact, lightweight design optimized for small and medium-sized, high-performance satellites.
The new sensor leverages the proven heritage of Jena Optronik technologies: combining the precision and agility of the ASTRO APS3 with the flight-proven electronics and software of the ASTRO CL, all unified by our easy-to-integrate ASTROlib software.
The ASTRO HP optical head delivers next-level attitude accuracy and rate capabilities without forcing you to redesign your platform. This modular approach provides unique flexibility to tailor performance and cost directly to your mission specific needs.
Furthermore, the advanced ASTROlib enables specialized SSA capabilities. The first flight ready version will be rolled out for this particular program.
