Kelly Osbourne Compares Herself To Skeleton Amid Weight Loss

Kelly Osbourne’s fans worried about her thin and frail appearance after her father’s death. The former reality star shut down the speculation as body shaming. However, she now sees what everyone else was seeing. Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter admitted that she looked like a skeleton after shocking weight loss. Keep reading to find out more about her recovery.

Kelly Osbourne Compares Herself To Skeleton

Kelly Osbourne has struggled with her weight since she was a teen. She revealed on her family’s podcast a few years ago that she was told to lose weight by producers. The Dancing With The Stars alum lost 85 pounds following gastric sleeve surgery in 2018. She lost even more weight after the loss of her beloved father.

Ozzy Osbourne died in July 2025 from a heart attack. The 76-year-old rock legend had performed his final show less than two weeks earlier. The Black Sabbath frontman had battled health issues for years, including Parkinson’s disease. Kelly Osbourne was extremely close to her dad, so his death hit her hard. Her drastic weight loss worried fans.

Kelly Osbourne defended herself from online commentary on her weight loss, insisting it was from grief and not Ozempic. But it was only recently that she realized that fans were right to be concerned.

“I couldn’t see what other people saw because I was in so much pain. I just saw a broken person,” she told The Daily Mail in an interview published on Saturday, September 5. “I looked like the f***ing Crypt Keeper,” she said, referring to the creepy skeleton from the Tales from the Crypt horror franchise.

Extreme Measure She Took To Hide Severity Of Weight Loss

Kelly Osbourne’s wake-up call came after recently seeing photos from her appearance at the 2026 Grammys in February. She attended the event with her family and then-fiance, Sid Wilson. The former member of Slipknot proposed backstage at Ozzy Osbourne’s final show in 2025. However, they broke up earlier this year, prompting Kelly Osbourne to move back to the UK with their young son.

“I was scared. I wanted to be there to support my mom [Sharon Osbourne] and to pay tribute to my father’s legacy, [but] I don’t think I should have gone. I wasn’t very well,” Kelly Osbourne admitted about attending the event. She revealed that she wore a wig so her cheekbones wouldn’t look as skinny as they were.

Kelly Osbourne realized that her weight loss was unhealthy and started the recovery process. She revealed that she’s working on a three-part documentary about grief after the heartbreaking loss of her father. Stay tuned for more details on that.
