Kelly Ripa has spoken up about a number of issues throughout her career, having worked for a number of outlets. Recently, she took part in a discussion about cosmetic procedures. Joining her was someone familiar to The Real Housewives of Orange County fans who knows the subject well.
Live!‘s Kelly Ripa Recently Discussed Cosmetic Surgery During Her Podcast Series
Ripa has worn many hats throughout her career. Some were introduced to her as an actress, such as appearing on the soap, All My Children. Since 2001, she has hosted the Live! syndicated talk show alongside a number of co-hosts, most recently her husband, Mark Consuelos.
Over the past few years, Ripa has also hosted her own podcast series, “Let’s Talk Off Camera,” which is distributed by SiriusXM. Thanks to all of these outlets, she has been able to weigh in on a number of topics.

Recently, Ripa opened up about cosmetic surgery with someone who knows quite a bit about the subject. This was plastic surgeon and media personality Terry Dubrow, who is known to many through The Real Housewives of Orange County and Botched.
Recently, Ripa spoke with Dubrow on the “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast, where he discussed the “ballerina breast” look created using small, less detectable implants, noting that Motiva was the product pushing the trend. This caused Ripa to joke that she was a “perfect contender.”
Ripa Has Previously Talked About Being Scared Off By ‘Online Horror Stories’
In particular, Ripa asked about whether or not these implants need to be replaced every decade. Dr. Dubrow claimed that patients don’t need to automatically replace them on that schedule. However, he noted that they still need surveillance and that patients without issues could possibly keep them longer.
Ripa also expressed concerns about scar tissue tightening around an implant. Dubrow claimed that was rare with Motiva, saying there was a “less than one percent chance” of that happening. Ripa responded, “We are going!” However, it was unclear if she meant that she was undergoing the surgery.
During the conversation, Dubrow also advocated for microdosing GLP-1 medications. As he shared, “I recently got certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine, so I’m not just a plastic surgeon talking about these drugs. This is an expertise of mine. It is so incredibly useful, because, as you know, what they do is they force sugar into the cells, right? Less sugar in the blood, less inflammation, less all of the side effects related to inflammation from sugar.”
Ripa has previously discussed people going under the knife on her podcast. As previously reported, Ripa previously discussed breast augmentation in the past. After attending several consultations, he ultimately deciding against the procedure after reading online “horror stories.” She has also discussed nonsurgical procedures, such as microneedling techniques.
