Kim Kardashian Responds, Fans Say She Puts Work Before Kids

Kim Kardashian has had a long career in the public eye. Because of this, she has seen her fair share of criticism over the years. This has included putting her career over her kids and family. However, a recently resurfaced clip has seen the star give a response to these commenters.

Fans Have Continued To Follow Kim Kardashian’s Story With Hulu’s The Kardashians

Kim and her family rose to prominence with the E! reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. This show originally ran from 2007 to 2021. Following this, fans saw further stories of the family’s lives on the Hulu series, The Kardashians.

In addition to her reality show career, Kim has also built a multi-billion dollar business empire, from shapewear to beauty products, and pursued other ventures. In 2019, she co-founded the Skims clothing brand. In 2022, she also launched the SKKN BY KIM skincare line. Over the years, she has also taken on acting roles, from American Horror Story to All’s Fair.

However, Kim has often been the subject of various criticisms over the years. With all of her pursuits, some fans have wondered if she has enough time to spare for her family.

Recently, Hulu shared a clip from The Kardashians on Instagram as a promotion. This was a famous moment from the episode, “Welcome to My Mind,” which focused on her heavy schedule.

During the moment, Kim responded to critics, musing that there are worse things she could do than work. At the time, she shared, “People are like, ‘Why do you work so much?’ Like, okay, yeah, that’s my vice, but what else do you want me to be doing? You want me to be doing drugs?

Many Agreed With Kim, While Others Felt Other Working Moms Aren’t As Lucky As Her

Kim continued, “Like, if I’m addicted to working and being busy, I don’t think that’s the worst thing. How ’bout let me do what I want to do. You do you. I’ll do me.”

As Hulu captioned the post, “God forbid a girl loves her job. All seasons of #TheKardashians are now streaming on @hulu!”

Taking to the comments, fans shared mixed reactions to the post. Many came to her defense, feeling that there were double standards for working women. On the other hand, some felt that she was in a luckier position than others and isn’t quite the same for other working mothers in the world. Some comments included:

    • “Yes, girl! You never hear anyone criticizing a man for ‘working too hard’ or being ‘too ambitious.’ But when it’s a mom? Suddenly everyone has an opinion about how much she works.”
    • “What the hell does ‘working’ even mean here.”
    • “No, it’s not when you’re tryin to accomplish a goal… but once the goal is accomplished, you time should be with your husband and kids.”
    • “There are many ppl who work more than her and they’re still poor.”
    • “Also her work is fun and she earns millions ,,,, if I knew I would make a millions for doing photo shots or making standard underwear I would work constantly too.”
    • “She ain’t lie. If I had the level of access to certain resources and spaces like she does, I’d be working my A** off to make sure 10+ generations in the future from my bloodline don’t have to lift a finger.”
