When Nicole Scherzinger left The Masked Singer, many fans thought it would last for one season. She wasn’t leaving because she was unhappy. She signed on for something more creative for herself and had no time to give to the reality singing competition series. However, she doesn’t appear to be returning and might be finished.
Here is what we know about Scherzinger and The Masked Singer.
Is Nicole Scherzinger Coming Back To The Masked Singer?
Nicole Scherzinger was a panelist on The Masked Singer through Season 10. She was one of the panelists alongside Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, and Ken Jeong. Nick Cannon served as the host. However, after Season 10 ended, Nicole left the show because she had something big coming up in her career.
Nicole left The Masked Singer because she had a chance to make a dream come true. She signed on for the West End production of Sunset Boulevard in the role of Norma Desmond. That was the iconic role that Gloria Swanson played in the original 1950 movie on which the stageplay was based.
The movie was named one of the best American films of the 20th century and was one of the first films selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress in 1989. The musical was created and opened in London in 1993, and has been playing on extensive tours ever since.
Nicole even received the prestigious 2024 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical. While fans thought she would return to The Masked Singer after that, she ended up signing on to reprise the role in her Broadway debut in 2024.
Now, she has also joined a new reality singing competition series that is very different from The Masked Singer. The show is Building the Band, and singers will try out and get placed with other singers as the judges try to create the next big band.
The Masked Singer Moving On Without Nicole Scherzinger
When Nicole Scherzinger left The Masked Singer after Season 10, the show replaced her with another popular singer. This was Rita Ora, and many fans feel that she brought new energy to the show. While most fans loved Nicole, it was maybe time for a change after 10 seasons.
Rita Ora has been on The Masked Singer for two seasons now and doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. With Nicole preparing for the new reality singing competition series, there is a good chance that she is finished with the show for good. The split might be for the best for both parties involved.
