Court will soon be back in session for Apple TV+‘s most-watched drama!
The streamer announced today that its hit legal thriller Presumed Innocent has been renewed for a second season.
The news comes ahead of the first season’s penultimate episode, which is set to drop on Wednesday.
“Led by a gripping performance by Academy Award-nominated star and executive producer Jake Gyllenhaal, Apple TV+ today announced that its global hit series Presumed Innocent is set to return for a second season that will unfold around a suspenseful, brand new case,” reads a press release.

As we’ve discussed previously, Apple TV+ is one of the most innovative streamers in the game.
But at this point, it probably doesn’t have enough subscribers for any of its shows to qualify as the event of the summer.
But hopefully, that’ll change in the near future!
In the meantime, series like Presumed Innocent, Sugar, Dark Matter, and The Land of Women are giving subscribers their money’s worth.
The success of Presumed Innocent extends with winning streaks of both David E. Kelley (Goliath, Big Little Lies, The Lincoln Lawyer) and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Following a couple of years in which it looked like he might settle into a well-deserved career of memorable roles in compelling indie films, Gyllenhaal is back to churning out the hits.
In the last year alone, Ambulance, Road House, and Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant have re-established Gyllenhaal as one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
Now, with Presumed Innocent, he’s proven he can deliver big-time star power on the small screen, too.
