    • It’s the new movie from director Ari Aster.
    • A24 is aboard as distributor.

His most recent movie, last year’s satirical dark comedy drama ‘Eddington’ may not have set the box office alight (it made $13 million worldwide on a $25 million budget), but director Ari Aster can still attract big names to his work.

According to Deadline, Scarlett Johansson is aboard to star in his latest, called ‘Scapegoat’.

Aster and his producers are shuffling the production schedule on this one to accommodate Johansson’s busy schedule (more on that below) but the cameras should be rolling later this year, backed by the director’s regular collaborators, A24.

Aster, who has also made the likes of ‘Hereditary’ and ‘Beau is Afraid’ is not one to reveal much about his movies before they arrive, so plot details are naturally under wraps. But could this point towards a return to his horror-focused work of old?
