Sister Wives patriarch Kody Brown has a less-than-stellar record when it comes to trust from Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown. When Kody was saying his final thoughts about the relationship with Meri Brown, he threw her and Nathan Dilts for a loop. Undoubtedly, when Sister Wives star, Kody Brown broke down in tears, it was a shock for Meri Brown who had watched him push her away for years. Once he left, he recovered quickly, but Meri got a kick in the gut. She began to question if she made the right decision. Since she had hung on for years longer than most people, her loyalty was screaming when Kody gave her an emotional response. However, some fans think it was raw manipulation.
When Meri Brown confronted Kody and Robyn Brown about Coyote Pass, he seemed to be concealing shady business. Although Kody Brown shook off his emotions fairly quickly, Meri was struggling. Furthermore, on the ride home Kody even snarkily told Nathan Dilts that if he didn’t understand by then why they were divorcing, then he never would. But Jenn Sullivan reminds Meri of Kody’s true colors he has shown for years. Jenn just wants her to move on with her life. However, Meri surprises Kody by pushing back against his “easy-peasy” plan to divide up the land without an appraisal. Instead of blindly trusting his advice, she insists on getting the appraisal so everyone is aware of the worth of the plots and understands what they are agreeing to.
