The Streets have shared a new single called ‘No Better Than Chance’ and announced a mix for the ‘Fabric Presents…’ series. Listen and find all the details below.
The Mike Skinner-led project has created a 31-track release for Fabric as the iconic London club continues its 25th anniversary celebrations. Previous contributors to the series include Shygirl, Leon Vynehall and Overmono.
“I’ve spent many nights wasted but not wasted any nights in Fabric over the years,” Skinner explained in a statement.
“The dedication to underground music and innovation, the way the bodysonic bass transducers sent the sounds through your body via your feet, the queues, the camaraderie and a real sense of being part of something that people will remember through the haze as the home of some of the greatest moments of their lives.”
He continued: “When I was asked to do a mix for the anniversary series I couldn’t wait to get on with it. Fabric has become one of the homes of bass music and that’s some of the music I’ve been playing out the most.
“It’s a pleasure to follow in the footsteps of so many incredible DJs in the Fabric, FABRICLIVE and Fabric Presents series and be part of their celebration. Here’s to many more decades of hedonism.”
The Streets’ upcoming ‘Fabric Presents…’ mix will include their new single ‘No Better Than Chance’, as well as ‘Desert Island Duvet (Skinner’s Version)’ featuring Fred Again.. and Dermot Kennedy.
It’ll also contain The Streets’ songs ‘Cannot Be A Lie’, ‘Boxing In Slow Motion’ and ‘End Of The Queue’, along with three cuts credited to Skinner in the form of ‘Sharp Knives Are Safer’, ‘Hands Down’ and ‘Neine To 5’.
A description reads: “As Fabric celebrates its silver jubilee, ‘Fabric Presents The Streets’ stands as a testament to the club’s enduring legacy and commitment to pushing boundaries.
“This collaboration is more than a mix album; it’s a celebration of the past, present, and future of electronic music.”
