The Terminal List Season 2 premiered on Prime Video on October 21, continuing the story of James Reece (Chris Pratt) as the series adapted Jack Carr‘s second novel, True Believer. The season found Reece drawn back into a dangerous world of international espionage, where old alliances, personal loyalties, and a deadly new threat put him on a collision course with his past.
Now, James Reece’s story is officially continuing. But according to Variety, it may not be part of The Terminal List series.
Pratt is set to reprise his role in Savage Son, Prime Video’s adaptation of Carr’s third novel in The Terminal List book series. The new project will follow the former Navy SEAL as he faces his most dangerous mission yet. However, there’s a catch.
While Savage Son will continue Reece’s story, it remains unclear whether the project will be considered The Terminal List Season 3 or a standalone spinoff. Sources suggest the latter is more likely, meaning fans may get another chapter of Reece’s story without an official third season.
Here is everything we know about the next installment of The Terminal List franchise so far.
Will there be a Season 3 of The Terminal List?
The new Savage Son project starring Chris Pratt has been greenlit by Prime Video, confirming that the franchise will continue even if it isn’t officially labeled Season 3.
“It’s probably the most popular book, maybe alongside Red Sky Mourning,” said author Jack Carr to TV Insider. “Savage Son explores the dark side of man through the dynamic of hunter and hunted. That’s the theme of that novel. And for some reason, I think that theme is just so primal. So is revenge. But for some reason, seeing that dark side of man played out and have that be the exploration of that book, and now perhaps maybe a season if we get one going forward, and that’s an interesting one to explore.”
“But there’s something within each of us in our DNA, I think, that just connects with that storyline because it is so, so primal and visceral and Savage Sun. We’ll see,” said Carr.
