‘View’ Hosts React To Caitlyn Jenner’s Recent Trump Complaint

‘View’ Hosts React To Caitlyn Jenner’s Recent Trump Complaint

For years, fans have seen a number of political “hot topic” discussions on The View. Recently, the co-hosts discussed Caitlyn Jenner after she took issue with one of President Trump’s policies. This led to a discussion over other figures who seemed to be mixed about their political views.

A Clip Of Caitlyn Jenner Aired During The Opening ‘Hot Topic’ On The View

Since 1997, audiences have seen a number of discussions on The View with a number of different co-hosts. Currently, the panel is made up of Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Retired Olympic athlete and media personality Caitlyn Jenner recently became a topic of discussion on the show. As noted on The View, she is known for her support of President Donald Trump. However, she recently took issue with one of the president’s policies.

During one of the show’s “Hot Topics,” the co-hosts discussed how Jenner lamented being unable to travel internationally at the moment. This was because her gender marker listed her as male due to an executive order by Trump.

A clip was shown of Jenner, who, as noted on the show, had asked the president for help regarding the issue. However, in her own words, he appeared to be “busy.”

For her part, Ana Navarro was rather blunt in her reaction to the story. As she shared, “Caitlyn Jenner, girl, cry me a river. Let me play my little violin for you. Changing the marker on the passports is an executive order that he signed on day one. On day one! So if you think that he didn’t know what he was doing, if you think he wasn’t fulfilling a campaign promise, because as [Sara says], he absolutely exploited this issue in order to get people to the polls.”

It Was Noted That Other Influencers Didn’t Support President Trump, But Seemed To Support His Party

Navarro continued, “If she’s saying that this is a safety issue, traveling internationally with the wrong marker on her passport, imagine what the safety issue is for people who are not celebrities. She then emphasized people “who don’t have access to the White House and who don’t have money.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin mentioned that, despite this, Jenner still openly supported Trump. As she mentioned, that was something that really “stood” out for her. She continued to mention influencers who also decried Trump’s policies, but still seemed to support his party. For her part, Sara Haines mused that Trump didn’t want to support policies that could upset the party overall.

However, Whoopi Goldberg, who served as a moderator, also scoffed at Jenner’s surprise. She asked, “Did Caitlyn Jenner not realize that when they said they were going to put your natural birth, biological sign on your passport, that that included her as well?”

As Goldberg continued, “You really better think about what you’re voting for, because what’s good for the goose seems to not be good for the gander, in your opinion. And yet, we told you, this is what this means!”
