Watch Mel B and Mel C reunite for Spice Girls’ ‘Spice Up Your Life’ in Leeds

Watch Mel B and Mel C reunite for Spice Girls’ ‘Spice Up Your Life’ in Leeds

Former Spice Girls Mel B and Mel C have reunited on stage in Leeds for a version of ‘Spice Up Your Life’ – watch below.

The latter – aka Sporty Spice – released her ninth solo album ‘Sweat’ on Friday (May 1) and is currently touring around the UK for a series of ‘Sweat Release Parties’.

Last night (May 2), she stopped off at Leeds’ Project House and she surprised fans by welcoming her former bandmate, Leeds native Mel B, to the stage for a rendition of the Spice Girls’ 1997 Number One, ‘Spice Up Your Life’.

After dealing with a microphone mishap, Mel C took a second to highlight how “special” the moment was, pointing out that it was the first time they had shared a stage together since the last show of the Spice Girls’ 2019 reunion tour, and they then launched into the full track.

    Check out footage here:

Last week, Mel C said she continues to hope that another Spice Girls reunion will happen, teasing that she was “manifesting” a slot at Glastonbury in the near future.

“There’s something about the dynamic of the Spice Girls – when we’re in a room together it’s electric,” she said. “It still happens to this day… there is something magical about those five personalities”.

“Glastonbury would be the pinnacle, it’s a bucket list,” she explained. “Spice Girls, Pyramid Stage – I like to think that will happen at some point. I’m very strongly manifesting that it will happen.”

She also claimed last year that all five members “want to do something”, but added that there were no plans for their 30th anniversary in 2026.

The last time all five Spice Girls performed together publicly was at the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012, although they also gave a surprise performance of ‘Stop’ at Posh’s 50th birthday party in 2024.

There have been mutterings about the group playing at Glastonbury for a while now, with Mel C saying in the past that they would be a “belting headliner” for the Worthy Farm festival, and Mel B hinting to fans in 2024 that it could come to fruition.

Victoria Beckham then fuelled rumours of a full reunion last autumn when she attended one of Oasis’ Live ’25 concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium – where the Spice Girls had played three huge dates in 2019. She shared a photo from the Oasis gig along with the word “Tempting”, while tagging her former bandmates in the post.
