    • ‘The Furious’ director Kenji Tanigaki is aboard to make ‘The Reckoner.’
    • Peter Dinklage will star.
    • ‘John Wick’ writer Derek Kolstad is on script duty.

Released in Stateside theaters last month, director Kenji Tanigaki’s ‘The Furious’ is continuing to win plaudits, hailed as the action breakout movie of the year.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the director is wasting no time locking in his next batch of fisticuffs, with ‘Game of Thrones’ veteran Peter Dinklage aboard to star in ‘The Reckoner.’

Lionsgate, which snapped up ‘The Furious’ at last year’s Toronto fest, has already committed to this one, with Joe and Anthony Russo’s AGBO company also planning to produce.

While we know that another action expert –– ‘John Wick’ franchise scripting mainstay Derek Kolstad –– is writing the screenplay, the plot details for this new effort are being kept quiet for now.

But it looks like Dinklage is ready to join the likes of Bob Odenkirk and Liam Neeson in embracing his action side full on.

Here’s Lionsgate Motion Picture Group president Erin Westerman talking up the new movie:

“One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is discovering filmmakers with distinctive voices, bringing their work to wider theatrical audiences and partnering with them as they take on projects of greater scale and ambition. That’s exactly what excites us about Kenji Tanigaki. ‘The Furious’ showcases a singular filmmaking talent, and we’re thrilled to reunite with our friends at AGBO to bring his bold vision for ‘The Reckoner’ to audiences worldwide.”
