    Preview:

    • Apple’s ‘Murderbot’ has recruited a load of new cast members for Season 2.
    • Steve Buscemi, Wanda Sykes and Patton Oswalt are among them.
    • Alexander Skarsgård and the Season 1 cast will return.

Given how much Alexander Skarsgård’s titular character in ‘Murderbot’ usually hates being around emotional humans, the character would probably freak out at the laundry list of casting that Apple has announced for the sci-fi comedy thriller series’ second season.

Led by the likes of Steve Buscemi (‘Fargo’) Wanda Sykes (‘Monster-in-Law’) and Patton Oswalt (‘Young Adult’), the new recruits number in the thousands (okay, that’s exaggerating, but peep the full list below.)

Adapted from Martha Wells’ book series, sci-fi thriller/comedy about a self-hacking security construct (Skarsgård) who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients.

Created by Chris and Paul Weitz, in Season 1, Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.

Season 1 cast members returning beyond Skarsgård include Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones and Tamara Podemski.

When will ‘Murderbot’ Season 2 be on our screens?

Good question! With production just kicking off, we don’t even have speculation as to when the show will return.
