One popular NBC series has finished its run on the network. Since then, however, it’s been announced just where the show is going. Meanwhile, this also comes out as another series appeared to be dropped by the network.
Fans Expressed Hope That One NBC Series Could Be Brought Back Despite A Previous Cancellation
One NBC series was quietly cancelled by the network despite decent ratings. However, it’s been announced that the show still has places to go.
This has led to fans wondering if the series could end up “uncancelled.” This also comes out as another NBC series faced a similar change-up.

Found is a procedural series created by Nkechi Okoro Carroll. The show made its debut on NBC back in October 2023.
On the show, actress Shanola Hampton plays Gabrielle “Gabi” Mosely, a former kidnapping victim who manages a crisis management firm. Gabi later kidnaps the man who previously abducted her, Hugh “Sir” Evans, played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Keeping him locked in her basement.
Early on, Gabi is able to use Hugh’s criminal knowledge to help solve cases. Although set in Washington, D.C., the series is filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.
NBC Has Also Recently Dropped Another Season That Fans Can Still Stream
During its run, Found proved popular. Its second season reportedly earned an 88% audience score, in spite of live TV ratings dipping. However, the series was cancelled after two seasons in May 2025. At the time, the news came out shortly before the second season finale.
The show has since moved to Netflix, leading fans to hope that the show could somehow be brought back for a third season. After all, Netflix is known for saving cancelled shows before. This includes NBC’s Manifest, which was brought back for a fourth and final season on the platform.
However, according to TVLine, the “shopping” process for the series has come to an end. This means that there are currently no plans to bring back the series for another season for the time being.
This news also comes out as NBC also dropped The Paper from its primetime schedule. This series was a spin-off of The Office, which followed a small-town newspaper. Originally premiering on Peacock, the series made its broadcast debut on NBC a few months later.
It was replaced by another upcoming show, Stumble, which revolves around a junior college’s cheerleading team. However, as noted by Variety, another season was already announced before the series’ premiere, which fans will still be able to watch on Peacock.
This means that The Paper will not get a full ten-episode run on the network’s Monday lineup, with remaining episodes airing on Saturday, January 3. However, more updates are expected once the second season’s airdate is announced.
