Watch Ariana Grande Go Toe-To-Toe with Ben Stiller in Focker-In-Law Trailer

Last year, it was announced that Ariana Grande would star in the latest installment of the Meet the Parents franchise, Focker-In-Law, alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. Today, the first trailer for the film dropped, introducing us to Grande’s character Olivia Jones, a trained FBI hostage negotiator turned potential future wife to Henry Focker (Skyler Gisondo) who his dad Greg (Stiller) just can’t crack. Check it out below.

The trailer kicks off with Greg’s father-in-law, retired CIA agent and Vietnam veteran Jack Byrnes (De Niro) administering a lie detector test to Olivia, asking her whether her love for Henry is genuine and, crucially, what she thinks of the family. Throughout the clip, Olivia rarely misses a step and even gets the Focker guard dog approval, winning Jack’s respect and Henry’s envy. The film, which John Hamburg wrote and directed, follows 2010’s Little Fockers, 2004’s Meet the Fockers, and 2000’s Meet the Parents. It also stars Beanie Feldstein, Owen Wilson, Eduardo Franco, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo. It premieres on November 26, AKA Thanksgiving.

Focker-In-Law will be released by Universal, the same studio behind Wicked and Wicked: For Good, both of which star Grande as Glinda. The first film earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 97th Academy Awards, where she also performed with Cynthia Erivo. Although Grande hasn’t released a new album since 2024’s Eternal Sunshine, she’ll head out on her first tour since 2019 later this year, visiting cities across North America and the UK in July and August.
